Concept

For this project, I interviewed three Israeli women living in Canada. Together, we created a genogram of their families.

The artwork is a visual, three-dimensional sculpture influenced by their stories. Home is the container of resonating wounds and connection. The project was presented at the group exhibition, Home Sweet Home, Tel Aviv, Israel in February 2017 at Binyamini Gallery.

A genogram (pronounced: jen-uh-gram) is a graphic representation of a family tree that displays detailed data on relationships among individuals. It goes beyond a traditional family tree by allowing the user to analyze hereditary patterns and psychological factors that punctuate relationships.
