Working Family Stories and Treasures

About

Working Family Stories and Treasures, of the Hamilton Jewish community, is a workshop-based arts project designed to tell the stories of Jewish working families and how they built a community in Hamilton.

The project was delivered in schools, seniors' homes and community centres in 2011-2012.

Participants attended a series of workshops where artists led them from researching their family history to expressing their favourite family stories in creative ways.

All artwork was exhibited at several locations and at a city-wide city show held at Hamilton's You Me Gallery in October 2012.
